Got the write stuff?
National Novel Writing Month will get you typing
November 3, 2017
Have you ever tried writing a novel, or thought about doing so? Do you feel a lack of inspiration when it comes to writing? Are you confused as to how you should even begin?
If so, you should sign up for the National Novel Writing Month before it’s too late. National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo, is an Internet-based creative writing competition, where participants are supposed to write 50,000 words from November 1st to November 30th. Once signing up, the participants will make an author account and will be able to brainstorm an idea for a novel and update their word count day-by-day. At the end of the month of November, participants upload their manuscript and winners earn money and even get recognized by publishers.
On National Novel Writing Month, the participant will be able to track their progress, find writing tips and join live videos with owners of the company, and meet people from around the globe who are also trying to write a novel, perhaps in the same position; everyone will have basically the same writing skill.
Even if you do not believe you are a good writer — or don’t believe you are a writer at all — National Novel Writing Month is a great place to test your hypothesis and try out novel writing. What do you have to lose? Enjoy writing!
