About the Contributors
Joi Byers, Broadcast Reporter
Joi Byers is a reporter for BHS Now. She is a Junior at Braswell High School, and she has been on the Broadcast staff for two years now, but this will be her third year doing Broadcast journalism. Joi loves to edit, film, and tell a story with her work, which were her main reasons for joining broadcasting. She loves to interact with people, so interviewing comes easily to her. Joi is actively involved in many clubs and organizations at her school, such as the Drill team for JROTC, and the community service head chair for Student Council, while being an active member of I am second, a bible study at Braswell. Joi enjoys going to the mall with her friends, making videos, singing, and hanging out with her sister. When she graduates, she plans to go to college and join the Navy, and use her journalistic background to become an officer in Public Affairs.
