- Most journalism students are involved in other sports or activities. We have a student from most sports teams, band, football, choir, theatre, AFJROTC and more.
- Journalism/Student Media students earn college scholarships from UIL, Quill & Scroll, JEA, ATPI, TAJE, and NSPA.
- Over 800 people purchase our yearbook, The Ambush, each year. And that number has increased every year since we’ve opened.
- That our yearbook has increased its yearbook page count every year since 2018. We’re sitting at 224 pages right now. We had 160 pages back in 2020.
- Our student publications enter competitions and have been improving. We also get the opportunity to visit other states like Florida, Pennsylvania, California, and New York – depending on the year, of course.
- We take annual trips to Austin, TX for ILPC and San Antonio, TX for Fall Fiesta.
