Dara Comport is a senior and co-editor-in-chief of The Bengal Beat. She joined the newspaper staff as a sophomore after being encouraged by her English teacher and enjoys working on stories with her peers. Her main area of expertise is news writing.

Outside of journalism, Comport is a member of the B-Well Band, where she plays tenor saxophone and oboe. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, playing volleyball and listening to music. Her favorite Super Mario character is Peach.
