Freshmen First Day is scheduled for Wed., Aug. 9, 2023

Freshmen First Day for Braswell High School Class of 2027 is scheduled for Wed. Aug. 9. The letter sent out to Freshmen families from our school administration is included below:

Dear Class of 2027:

Welcome to Braswell High School! The entire BHS faculty and staff, as well as our student body, are excited you will be joining our growing family. We look forward to meeting you on August 9, 2023 when you take your first steps on a short journey to receiving your high school diploma. This letter provides the basic information you need in order to prepare for the beginning of the school year and Freshman First Day.

Story continues below advertisement

Please read the following information carefully:

  • Freshman First Day is on August 9, 2023 from 8:30AM-12:30PM
  • Freshman First Day will begin checking students in at 8:30AM in the main hallway, where students will receive a copy of their schedule.
  • Activities will start promptly at 9:00AM with an energetic assembly in the auditorium. The first 300 students to show-up will receive a free t-shirt!
  • After the assembly, students will follow a mini-schedule to learn where their classes are located and give them an opportunity to meet their teachers. During this time, students will watch short videos on campus expectations and teachers will discuss school information and tips to improve success at BHS.
  • The day will conclude with a Clubs & Organizations Fair and lunch (free).

Because the day is active, please make sure your child wears comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement. Students are also encouraged to bring their own water and snacks to consume throughout the day.
