Today, Oct 15, marks the halfway point of the 31 Days of Denton Halloween held in Denton square. It is a spooky month full of celebrations, haunted decorations, and fun for all ages. This year, the square hosts half a million visitors, hundreds of events, and amazing cuisine to try. Completely new, their self guided food and booze tours that travel around town serving delicious drinkings, meals, and treats.
During the 31 Days of Denton Halloween, you can find everything from murals and sculptures to handmade merchandise and interactive art experiences, all made by local artists. A featured artist is Dan Black, who has been creating art for the city of Denton for over 15 years. His sculptural work for this year decorates most of the Haunted Maze including the computer consoles, mind control mouse, and mad scientist.
Another featured artist is Claire Morales, a graphic designer, visual artist, and musician who loves uplifting others with her style. This year, her limited line of Halloween merchandise can be bought at Discover Denton. With over 200 events, from historical seminars to spooky movie screenings, there is much to find at Dentons’ 31 Days of Halloween.
