Lady Bengals advance to regional final after win over Byron Nelson

The Lady Bengals are headed to the Regional Finals after a dominant Regional Semifinals victory over the Byron Nelson High School Bobcats.

The win extends Braswell’s playoff run and keeps the postseason momentum building. The Lady Bengals will face Frenship High School Tigers in the Regional Final.

The Regional Finals matchup will take place at Vernon High School (2102 Yucca Ln, Vernon, TX 76384) on Friday, Feb. 27 at 6:30 p.m.

Fans are encouraged to travel and pack the stands as the Lady Bengals look to continue their playoff push.

Ben Monday, Broadcast Reporter

Benjamin Monday is a reporter for Ray Braswell High School. He joined the broadcast staff as a senior after being recruited by adviser Daniel Carr to cover sports for the school.

Monday’s strengths include writing, reading, interviewing and shooting. Although new to broadcasting, he gained experience through a summer camp dedicated to the field.

Outside the newsroom, Monday competes on the varsity track team and serves as president of I Am School, where he has sharpened his leadership skills.

He aspires to become a sports analyst and work for ESPN.
