Junior Sienna Graves made school history as Braswell High School’s first-ever UIL Academics state champion after winning the Class 6A Theatrical Marketing title at the UIL State Meet. Graves earned first place in the state for her marketing campaign for The King Stag, which included a production poster, program design, social media campaign and promotional item. She competed against more than 20 of the top student designers and marketers in Texas.
The championship marked Graves’ second appearance at the state level after also advancing in 2025. In Braswell’s 10-year history, only 15 students have advanced to the UIL Academics State Meet in Theatrical Design, and Graves is the first to bring home a gold medal. She has studied under technical theatre teacher Benjamin Parker for the past three years. Under Parker’s direction, Braswell students have advanced to the UIL Theatrical Design State Meet seven times.
Braswell also found additional success at the state competition. Senior Kendall Eiffert placed third in the state in Theatrical Marketing during her first appearance at the State Meet, while junior Brandy London competed in Costuming, placing among the top 20 student costume designers in Texas. Graves joins Macy Wingard as one of the school’s only state champions, marking a milestone for both Braswell Theatre and UIL Academics. Administrators and staff encouraged the school community to congratulate the students and Parker for their accomplishments and mentorship throughout the season.
